I have a couple of keys including a wireless Netgear WG111v3, and as often happens in the Linux world there are no drivers. So to make it work you should obtain ndiswrapper and use the windows driver download from here .

apt-get install ndiswrapper-utils-1.9

and after that unzip to the folder and install the WG111 driver

ndiswrapper-i WG111v3.inf

At this point, simply load the module

modprobe ndiswrapper

check with

ndiswrapper-l

and we will get something like

DebianBox :/ home / edmond # ndiswrapper-l
wg111v3: driver installed
device (0846:4260) present

in the case we were dealing with a similar error

FATAL: Module ndiswrapper not found.

we can solve the problem with module-assistant

apt-get install module-assistant ndiswrapper-source

compile the modules ndiswrapper

but with ndiswrapper

reload the module

modprobe ndiswrapper

Now everything should work.

Hello, I had not authorized it as root, now works, only thing I do not understand 'cause with the command: ndiswrapper-l
I get the following output: wg111v3: driver installed
device (0846:4260) present (alternate driver: rtl8187)
I have the impression that they are working and the alternate drivers, or 'normal?
However, the adapter works better than before although not 100% I would not be due to these alternate drver nn that I do use those installed by ndswrapper.
I ask for help to those who understand more 'me ...
    Thank you.

try to blacklist the drivers and see what works:

    sudo gedit / etc / modprobe.d / blacklist.conf

and enter in the name of the driver.

    reboot
